Welcome to what was formerly the Oxfordshire Football Association's coaching website, where you will find details of courses for children which are available in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire organised by the F.A. County  Coaching Representative from 1984 to 2002,  Trevor Spindler.

Please note that from August 1st. 2002 the OxfordshireFootball Association Limited took over the running of all adults' courses. They can be contacted at their Witney office on 01993 778586.

It should also be noted that there is now no connection whatsoever between this website and Oxfordshire F. A. Ltd.

Trevor Spindler graduated in 1974 from Leeds and Carnegie College, having taken a four year course in Physical Education. He held several posts as Head of P.E. in Comprehensive schools and was also involved in teacher training. He passed his F.A. Advanced Coaching Licence in 1976 and in addition to being involved in senior non-league football, coached in the U.S.A. for many years. From 1979 he was on the F.A.'s coaching staff, delivering a range of courses particularly in the Oxfordshire area. From 1984 to 2002 he was the F.A. County Coaching Representative for Oxfordshire, being responsible for the organisation and staffing of all courses, including the very successful 'Funweek' programme of holiday courses for children. He has written two books on the coaching of football and recently for five years was involved in scouting as part of the F.A.'s Talent Identification Programme for young players of international standard. He gained a Masters Degree in 1990.

We offer a programme of holiday courses at Easter and in the Summer, which are of 4 or 5 days' duration. They run from 10am to 3pm on weekdays. The age range is usually from 6 to 12.

The cost of a course is only £35.

(4 day courses at Easter and on 28th August are only £30.)

This is the provisional programme of holiday courses for children in 2007. Since 1984 well over 20000 children have taken part.
